So you just became a Stylist from being an assistant?

How is that going?
Awesome. I am loving it. I am so happy. I feel like I have learned so much.
Privé has an assistant program to train stylists and colorists before they can become a Stylist. Why do you think that is important?
You learn so much about the Privé way. Everyone in the salon has taught me so much and I use what I learned every day. So it really made me grow as a stylist. When you come out of school, you really know the basics. Being an assistant allowed me to learn techniques and the best ways to cut by watching and learning from the best Stylists.
What really got you into hair and styling? What made you want to be a stylist
I used to come visit my mom here from Seattle and Erica used to cut my hair and I loved the way she cuts and styles. She would do all these crazy techniques and cuts and I loved it. I had my eye set on Privé and new this is what I wanted to do and where I wanted to work.
What do you like to do when you are not cutting hair?
I like to go to concerts. I love the beach. I am a beach girl.
What is on your wish list for next year?
I really want to work hard and do a good job to earn more clients. I want to live life!
